All persons who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
are welcome into membership
at First Presbyterian Church.
People join the church at a variety of times in their
lives and in a variety of situations. Some
join out of the joy of a new-found faith, some come because
they sense a renewed need for
God in their lives, and some transfer from other churches.
Twice a year we hold Inquirers Classes to help people
learn more about the church and to
explore joining. Typically, the course meets three times
to cover the following subjects:

The Christian Faith: What
does it mean to be a Christian, and how can we grow
in our walk
with the Lord? In this section we study issues of faith and discipleship.

The Presbyterian
Church (USA): Who are we, and what do we
believe? In this class we look
at the history and structure of our denomination.

• |
First Presbyterian
Church of Downers Grove: Who are we as a
local church? In this final
class we look at our local mission and program, exploring what our church can
offer you, and where you can become involved in the worship, fellowship, and
service life of the church.
